The matches can be quick, or slow depending on how fast folks interact which makes me feel like the pacing can be all over the place. It makchmakes fairly quickly, but doesn’t have the highest of lobby counts. It has some weird dynamics to it, and the option to play alone or with a group. You’ll also gather some strange fantasy items and hilarious armor such as a frying pan to cover your butt. There are a number of maps to battle on, and many looting opportunities as you collect antique weapons. It definitely has some performance issues, but it does feature some beautiful worlds as well. That makes it quite dynamic to a degree, at least being different loot wise.Ĭuisine Royale is an alright battle royale title, it’s silly and can be fun though you shouldn’t expect much from it. The looting is really interesting in this, there are tons of little things tucked away on various levels of shelves or crates. This aspect continues with various fridges to collect items from, or slot machines that you can spend coins in for stuff as well which is a gamble. There are these bunny shoes as well, you can hop super high with them which is a blast. Going back to wacky stuff you can pick up holy rings, health tanks or even cigars that all boost assets in weird ways. Getting shot will get you downed, with the chance for being revived. It was just awkward in combat, but not too bad. I found the guns to look authentic, but also fire a bit odd. Additional accessories can also be found such as scopes. You’ll collect the guns, as well as the attachment and magazines that go with them. Some additional dips here or there as well.Īnother interesting aspect is that you fire in first person no matter the perspective you use and the weapons are from an older era being World War II inspired. It’s like a constant drag in that regard, but a standard as it keeps about the same the entire time you play. I was surprised by this aspect, at the same time the performance could have been better. This is actually a fairly impressive experience in terms of the visuals, featuring some great environments. There’s a premium option for better unlocks as well, with you gaining cosmetic or strange soul abilities. Behind the modes you get to play is a sort of web you work through to unlock content. There really isn’t much to this one, but it has fun with what it aims to provide and I’ll dig into that further under gameplay. As time progresses there’s a large ring that will push everything inwards, but it’s very forgiving compared to other storms that I’ve faced in battle royale games. This will be a challenge as other groups are scavenging, and aiming to eliminate you as well. Like other games in the genre you’ll be looting and attempting to be the last person or team left alive. There are some slightly different environments to battle in, each offering unique terrains and that’s about the extent of the experience. Unlike similar titles you don’t drop in and you just generally appear when the matches start. It offers the option to battle solo, or in squads of four.

It’s a free to play title that provides two modes. This is a rather wacky, and not at all serious take on the battle royale genre. Cuisine Royale Review "Snacking Battle Royale" Multiplayer Decemat 3:54am
